IPAC-CO2 at COP15, Copenhagen

Representatives of IPAC-CO2 participated in the UNFCCC Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.  During the event, IPAC-CO2 addressed many inquiries and held discussions at a booth it shared with the Office of Energy and Environment, University of Regina.

Through attendance at the event, IPAC-CO2 and the University of Regina were able to:

  • increase awareness of carbon capture and storage (CCS) as a viable solution for safely reducing CO2 emissions, and promote the University of Regina’s leading-edge carbon capture technology; and
  • raise awareness of, and promote participation in, the development of the International Performance Assessment Centre for Geologic Storage of CO2 (IPAC-CO2) and its regional centres worldwide.
