Community Services

IPAC-CO2’s aim is to establish a very scientifically inclusive community of researchers focused on risk assessment activities related to CCS operations.  The web-based Community of Practice supports this goal by providing a flexible environment where researchers can find and interact with one another and create, organize and share information.  Optimized for “connectedness”, it facilitates the capture and dissemination of informal knowledge.

The community’s advanced collaborative and information sharing functionality ensures the energy and synergies of CCS researchers and teams are fully leveraged, wherever they are located in the world.

Key services which are planned for delivery through the community of practice will include:

·         Risk assessment and project governance

·         Knowledge exchange

·         Best practices wiki and repository

·         Training and certification

·         CCS newsfeed and site tracking

·         Source or place an expert

·         Research proposal submission
